Booty Wood (1919–1987)
Born Michael W. Wood. He played trombone from the late 1930s. Some artists that he worked included Tiny Bradshaw, Lionel Hampton, Clark Terry, Willie “The Lion” Smith, Geral Wilson, Arnett Cobb, Erskine Hopkins, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie.
