Jule Styne (1905–1994)
American composer, of British birth. over the course of a 75-year long career, published 1,500 songs. Prominent compositions include “Everything’s Coming up Roses” (1959), “Let me Entertain you” (1959), “Don’t Rain on my Parade” (1964), and the scores for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1949), Gypsy (1959), and Funny Girl (1968).
