Grover Mitchell (1930–2003)
American trombonist and bandleader. He led bands in San Francisco Bay area with Cedric Haywood and played with Duke Ellington’s groups, Lionel Hampton and Count Basie. In July 1995, he took over the leadership of the memorial Count Basie Orchestra from Frank Foster.
