Bill Spilka (b. 1930)
American trombonist, oral historian, and professional photographer. Contributed to the oral history of jazz by creating audio and video recordings of jazz musicians from the 1970s through the 1990s.

Progenitor of UNLV’s archive, Bill Spilka Recorded Jazz Interviews, Masterclasses, and Performances. Sister collections to UNLV’s housed at Rutgers University and the NY Public Library (see links below).
