Bill Watrous (1939–2018)
Trombonist, performed with Billy Butterfield, Kai Winding, Quincy Jones, Maynard Ferguson, Johnny Richards, Woody Herman, and as a member of the Thad Jones and Mel Lewis Band. Watrous also served as a staff musician for CBS, on the Merv Giffin’s television show, and as a prominent studio musician in Los Angeles.
