George Thow (1908–1987)
American trumpeter. Member of the Lawrence Welk Show orchestra from 1956 until 1961, remaining on the show staff as production staff member until 1982. A Harvard graduate with a degree in French literature. Toured with Isham Jones Orchestra, Benny Goodman Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw, and worked as a staff musician with NBC.
